Why almond firewood?
Almond is one of California's best-kept firewood secrets. It burns hotter and longer than most hardwoods, produces minimal smoke, and leaves behind very little ash. Whether you're heating your coastal home on a cool evening or cooking over a real wood fire, almond delivers consistent, reliable heat.

Wood-fired cooking & coastal life in Santa Cruz County
Santa Cruz County has a laid-back, food-forward culture that's been embracing wood-fired cooking for years. Downtown Santa Cruz and Soquel have a growing number of restaurants and craft spots where wood-fired ovens are a centerpiece — and almond wood's clean, lightly sweet smoke pairs beautifully with the fresh, local ingredients the area is known for. Aptos and Capitola have their own vibrant dining scenes with a strong outdoor, fire-forward sensibility.
For outdoor life, Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park, Big Basin Redwoods State Park, and the Santa Cruz Mountains are world-class destinations for camping, hiking, and fireside evenings. Beach bonfires along the Capitola and Seacliff shorelines are a Santa Cruz tradition. Whether you're in a redwood cabin in Felton, a beachside home in Capitola, or a hillside property in the mountains, our seasoned almond firewood is ready to burn the moment it arrives.
