Why Yuba County Residents Choose Almond Firewood

Yuba County's Sacramento Valley climate brings cold, foggy winters with tule fog that can settle in for days — making quality firewood essential for comfortable living. Almond wood is one of California's densest hardwoods, burning hot and long with minimal smoke and a mild, pleasant aroma. It's sourced from the same California almond orchards that thrive throughout the Valley's rich agricultural landscape.

In Marysville — one of California's oldest Gold Rush cities, situated at the confluence of the Feather and Yuba Rivers — historic homes and newer residences alike rely on almond firewood for indoor fireplaces and wood stoves through the cold Valley winters. Plumas Lake, one of Yuba County's fastest-growing communities, is a popular delivery destination for newer suburban homeowners stocking up for fire pit season. Linda and Olivehurst — established unincorporated communities in the heart of the county — are active delivery areas where residents appreciate the convenience of no-hassle driveway delivery. Wheatland, in the southern county near the Placer County line, serves homeowners with larger rural properties who stock up with a full cord for the winter. Smartsville, tucked into the Sierra Nevada foothills above Marysville, rounds out our Yuba County delivery area with a quiet, rural foothill character all its own.
